Top UK featherweight Brad Pickett is likely to be picked up by the WEC in the near future, according to industry sources.
Pickett himself was tight-lipped when contacted by Fighters Only today as he prepared to fly out to the USA for WEC 36 next week.
“All I know is, the roster might be trimmed after this event and if a place comes up, I’m pretty confident I would get one,” he said.
“I really want to fight in Las Vegas. And Zuffa have been talking about bringing the WEC to the UK next year, so I could be their poster-boy,” he laughed.
Pickett is heading to WEC 36 to watch American Top Team colleague Mike Brown fight Urijah Faber for the featherweight title.

Pickett seems to be a real likable guy and he's got a great game.I was real impressed with his last outing at Cage Rage against a tough Lithuanian Jazbutis.A great pick up for WEC especially if they plan to go to the UK.

Even though Pickett has been up-and-down in Cage Rage, I still like this pickup. I almost kind of expected him to beef up to 155 and compete on the next TUF. But this is just as good.

Yeah Brad is a great addition to their roster, while I don't believe he has the skillset to be a champion, he is extremely game as a fighter and will give the fans plenty of excitement whoever he fights

Lol i knew about this 2 weeks ago, wasn't allowed to tell anyone though 
He's a great guy and a great fighter, can't wait to see him fighting in the States, he deserves it.

It's 99% gonna happen, can't be 100% sure until the WEC officially say it's happening so if I were you I'd leave the '?' in there until it's made official
