no, I don't think thats right. None of the Refs are contracted to UFC. They work for the Athletic Commission.
Thats why you see all the same Refs, Reffing all the MMA events you see on TV

Maybe that's what steve needed because as you noticed there were no premature stoppages with steve. no stache is a good thing maybe.

I kind of liked the shave... it made him look like ten years younger... I am not even joking but I thought it was a new ref at first.
