Best way to start training?

Anyone out there that has been in any type of mma or had training from a professional would know this but i would like some good advice.We just started training in a small town and have a professional kickboxer as trainer, what methods would use to train people that haven't fought since high school? Where do you start, basic stiking and grappling? and what power do you start at 20%-50%? I need some good feedback on this because were into our 3rd session and i'm still getting walked over.

I'm kind of confused what you mean. Are you saying that you guys are just training together? Or is it at a gym? Or what?

of course u start on basic things, get ur technique down. don't start sparring right away, learn the right technique, then spar and go about 50% to 60% of you power.

At first dont spar with over 50% power because then you can let loose and try combos without being scared of getting hit!

Don't worry about getting walked over after your 3rd session. You'll get owned during your first year or so. It's all part of learning.

I have been training BJJ for a few months now. Here is what I suggest

1. Buy a Jump Rope
2. Use it
3. Do hindu squats, sit ups, and push ups daily.

This will help your endurance and overall health. Dont worry about all the little shit. Just get in great shape and learn technique first.

I a big fan of spar training. You obviously need to work drill on technique but don't forget to try it out and do some MMA sparring. I would also suggest videoing the sparring so you can go back and watch.

Other than that just train your ass off and don't foget to rest when injured.
