This is not a ranking of best fighters though many are up there. And the order they are in is not necassarily the order that is their division, but how they are in Jujitsu. Whatcha think?

Lightweight:Aoki Penn Tavares
Welterweight:Condit Swick Hazelett
Middleweight:Meia Filho Jacare
Lightheavyweight:Lil Nog Babalu Shogun
Heavyweight:Big Nog Fedor Werdum

i agree..except in middle weight id put A. Silva or maybe Almeida.

but i think gsp's is better than siwck's.

and there are a ton of lightweights with nice BJJ but id put nick or nate diaz in there

I didnt know Fedor called his style JuJitsu.. But yeah Sambo and BJJ are pretty close. If you can include Fedor them im gonna put Sakuraba on this list.. his ground skills are just sick.

I dunno if he is really at the level of the people you put here but Genki Sudo has some awesome style, i love his flying armbars and the like.

Roger Gracie has the best pure JJ in MMA. better than Nog's, Werdum's, Mir's or anyone else. he is the 2007 ADCC Superfight champion, ADCC OW and HW champion in 2005, CBJJ Blackbelt Champion 4 years in a row and is by far the most decorated JJ athlete in MMA.

now i am speaking of who has the best pure JJ and who has had the most success in the sport

here is my order by division:

HW: Roger Gracie
LHW: Ricardo Arona
MW: Jacare
WW: BJ Penn (i count him as both WW and LW...but Garcia totally beats him at LW but no one really challenges him at WW)
LW: Marcelo Garcia

Bob Sapp.

He has pretty good flying armbars, but his reversals need some working.. He needs to put on some weight too.. the whole size doesnt matter in JJ thing only goes so far.

Wheres Big Nog and Condit. Carlos has to be for Welterweight. Its the weakest Jujitsu division and hes one of the best in the world at it pound for pound no doubt. Easily.

Marcelo Garcia no doubt is the best BJJ fighter in the LW div. in MMA.

Roger Gracie no doubt is the best P4P BJJ fighter in MMA period.

I have too much of a life to look over a great deal of these posts and if I posted something that somebody else did, which is unintentional, then dont read it. I also get annoyed by a lot of threads. I dont diss on them, I simply ignore them. Anyways lets redeem the discussion. Percussion. True.

I"m severely disapointed that you guys are leaving out one of the best: Miguel Torres. His jj is amazing. In his fight with Chase Beebe, he went through a succession of about 5 different submissions before committing to one to finish the fight.

as a JJ freak i must interject. in terms of pure JJ, this is how it stacks up:

Marcelo Garcia's JJ > BJ Penn's JJ

Jacare's JJ > Almeida's JJ + Silva's JJ

Arona's JJ > Babalu's JJ

Roger Gracie's JJ > Mir's JJ + Nog's JJ
