I've got LePonte! Keep the updates coming. ...wait did you mean that Lepont got an armbar for the win?

Nope, sorry if the wording wasn't clear. Lepont was on all 4's shaking Ng off when he got too high on the back but Ng fell off towards one of the arms on the ground and just swooped his legs in front of the face and chest as he fell off. It was slick. I had Lepont too, but if I'd done my research I would've taken Ng, I don't like picking against the Evolve guys.

Down to the final 3 fights and all count, I'll update as soon as they happen in this thread.

Pulver and Ueda just finished their walkouts, will start in a minute or two. Then Manhoef vs. Brock Larson and the main event Aoki vs. Boku.

Winner of Pulver/Ueda will face Kevin "The Silencer" Belingon (not tonight tho) who just won the other Bantamweight Grand Prix fight.. Maybe it's just a 4 man grand prix for the title? Too lazy to look it up but I imagine winner of the 4 gets the belt.

Jens lookin good on the feet for two minutes but Ueda looking better than expected considering his usual striking but then Jens either clipped Ueda or Ueda slipped and when Pulver went to follow Ueda spent the final 3 minutes on top until the final 20 seconds he was going for a kimura and Jens rolled too the top but the kimura was held until the bell.

2n dround a minute in and Jens has Ueda's back with the hooks in .

Yes! That's what I was describing, lol

Ueda working Jens from the top landing vicious GNP and gets a D'arce choke. Pulver pulls a horizontal running 1080 trying to spin out but Ueda doesn't let it happen.

Ueda over Pulver by 2nd round sub.

Ueda vs. Belingon in the finals of the 135 grand prix.

For the opponents skill level, Jens really didn't look retire-now bad at all. Likely crying though.

2 minutes in and Manhoef and Brock both need yellow cards for not fighting.

Never seen Melvin so afraid to get in striking range. He must think if he goes down it's over.

15 seconds of action all round as Manhoef landed a head kick then Larson sprinted around the ring with Manhoef sprinting after him, fell to the ground, Manhoef landed a few GNP from the top then Larson grabbed the leg and Manhoef just slipped out of a kneebar. The other 4:45 was "Brock circles, Melvin circles"

Almost halfway over and these guys are not even fighting. Double DQ, failure to engage if I was the ref.

NICE, they both just got yellow carded.

Manhoef headkick knocks him down, drops a ton of GNP, ref takes a close look, Brock goes for a kneebar, they're sittin in it and Brock gets on top in half guard against the fence. Brock landing GNP for the final minute, Manhoef is cut. Brock takes his back, switches to an armbar, only has 15 seconds left to get it. Melvin saved by the bell. two more seconds and Manhoef was done by armbar.

19-19

Manhoef's cut is in the exact spot as The Mauler's and the same size.

Brock goes for the single leg, Melvin tries to run away and Brock takes his back standing, gets one hook in. Gets him down to the mat, landing GNP from a side kneeling half guard, Melvin not fighting back at all. Brock can't get in the second hook because of the cage, Melvin just eating punches on the mat, offering nothing back. Brock has landed 100 in a row without an attempt at a strike by Melvin, he kept putting thumbs up while getting hit but he was not intelligently defending himself or fighting back for over a minute, Brock moving around dropping elbows, moves to half guard, then side control, dropping elbows, he is mutilating Manhoef all the way til the bell. I give it 10-8 Larson.

29-27 Brock Larson on my card but who knows what the judges think.

Oh yeah, no 10 point must system. Regardless all 3 see it for Brock Larson for a UD.

They definitely both should've received a second yellow card in the 2nd to lose another 10%. The fight was basically the third round.

Aoki vs. Boku entrances starting!

Aoki likely to take the title, let's see what Boku's gameplan is.

Larsen ran for his life in the 1st round ref should of stepped in. Never knew he could move that fast Brock look like Usain Bolt in the cage.

Brock look like Usain Bolt in the cage.

Yeah if Usain Bolt was twice as quick as he is. Brock made Usain look like he runs in the sand.

If it wasn't Manhoef taking over 100 unanswered strikes and making no effort to improve position or fight back for 90 seconds, it would've been stopped. Yuji Shimata just knows he's tough and gave him the benefit of the doubt. 99% of fighters would not get that and Larson would've won by TKO.

Aoki backpacks Boku within 30 seconds, goes for a neck crank, can't get under the chin, Bokue defends, Aoki locks in a tight D-arce, Boku wall climbs with his feet to get to a different position, it looks like it should be over, it's been tight for a minute, surprised Boku hasn't gone out. Aoki releases and Boku working to stand up, Aoki has spent almost two minutes squeezing tight on subs he didn't get, so we'll see how his arms hold up with the infamous lactic acid building up, he's on top with Boku using butterfly guard and Aoki dropping GNP, soome nice elbows, forearm strikes, punches all from a standing position over the butterfly guard. Aoki goes over into mount and grabs the arm and works for the armbar, Aoki's back was against the cage or he likely would've been able to extend and end it by armbar.

Aoki dominating but was also squeezing on subs for over two minutes, we'll see if it affects his arms.

Round 2 - Aoki with another takedown in under 30 seconds for the second straight round, he's in half guard and working to pass, he jumps into side control and is dropping bombs, Aoki gets on the back with Boku turtled and is landing a ton of strikes, he gets one hook in and an arm under the chin and it's over.

Aoki over Boku 2nd round RNC

Just domination, no one cares about Aoki fighting Japanese fighters and hasn't for years. If he never faces opponents at the top of his weight class by avoiding the UFC, even Bellator, etc. he's never going to get tested. Among the top 50 in the weight class, 49 are in North America. Unless ONE FC gets big signings to challenge him, it's just a waste of his prime years in my opinion.

Without that cage in the way Aoki made quick work. Just way too good for Boku.
