Following a first-round loss to Patricky "Pitbull" Freire at Saturday night's Bellator 59 event, Kurt Pellegrino has again called it quits.

The 12-time UFC veteran announced for the second time in as many fights that he is hanging up the gloves for good.

"This will be the last time you ever see me fight," an emotional Pellegrino said to the Atlantic City crowd.

Pellegrino, who also retired following a UFC loss to Gleison Tibau this past March, leaves the sport on the heels of a three-fight skid. However, some MMA pundits have been quick to rush to Pellegrino's defense, stating the fight with Freire was stopped too soon.

It absolutely was but to be completely fair Pitbull had him in a very bad position. I didn't see that going too much longer.
