Bellator 94 on Thursday featured two Season 8 tournament finals, but that failed to give the event any punch in the TV ratings department.

Bellator 94 drew just 713,000 viewers, the second lowest total of the season, according to MMAWeekly.com industry sources.

Bellator’s Season 8 has still been a TV ratings success for the promotion, averaging 782,000 viewers per event, well above what the promotion has achieved in prior seasons on other networks. This is the first season that Bellator has aired on Spike TV.

seems like all mma programming on Spike/FX over the last 5 years has fluctuated between 700k and just over 1 million viewers no matter if it's UFC, Bellator, etc. All based on randomness and little else. A few live UFC fight nights did more.



I don't even think the methods of creating tv ratings seem all that accurate in the first place.


If theres any rhyme or reason to it at all, March Madness probably made a small dent in their viewers. That was the first national sporting event that went up against Bellator so far on Spike. I think NFL was already over when the first Spike Bellator aired.
