A new pair of matchups are official for January's UFC on FOX 6 event as Ryan Bader (14-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) meets Vladimir Matyushenko (26-6 MMA, 7-4 UFC) and David Mitchell (11-2 MMA, 0-2 UFC) faces Simeon Thoresen (17-3-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC).

UFC officials today announced the new bookings. Verbal agreements are in for both matchups, and bout agreements are expected to be finalized shortly.

Good match making in these 2 fights. Bader is going to be a bit to much for Matyushenko. Vladdy is getting up there in age and Bader is in the prime of his life.

Bader should be able to take the win but he needs to be careful and keep his chin tucked.

Bader is the newer younger faster stronger Vladdy, I think he finishes this fight.

this is a strange matchup to me, why does matty get bader? i though bader earned a tougher fight with a ranked fighter. i think he'll retire matyushenko

He might not hang um up, but he could still be done. Though I doubt it.

Losing this fight would be his second loss in a row. But he'd still be 7-4 in the UFC against really good competition.

I think he's got some job security but he obviously wants to win this fight (obviously.)

That said, Matty has a better chance than people on this thread are giving him.

I said "he'd" not "he's." It was future conditional tense. As in, if he lost to Matty he WOULD be 7-4.
