Art Arciniega is in the same position as a thousand other fighters.
He knows he's good. And he knows he's good enough to have his name known beyond his regional MMA circuit. He just wants a shot.
Arciniega (12-4) may have gotten a little closer Friday night when he ran his win streak to five fights with a split-decision victory over Brad McDonald (8-3) at Tachi Palace Fights 14.
And as most split decisions go, there was no doubt in Arciniega's mind that he had won the fight. So hearing afterward that the judges weren't unanimous gave him that uneasy feeling.
"I've seen (the fight) eight times," Arciniega on Monday told MMAjunkie.com Radio (www.mmajunkie.com/radio). "I'm critical of myself, but I think I got all three rounds. At worst, I thought maybe two rounds to one, me. When I heard split, I thought, 'There's no way these guys are going to rob this from me.'"
