Only way he was staying is prolly if he won or was in a good war.

I'm guessing he can't go to Strikeforce though.

Not really much of a surprise here. Either If he won or lost against Belfort I still think he woulda got cut. It's a shame though

I think AJ will be spending the summer at fat camp with Tony Perkis.

I'm not real surprised to be honest, he came in overweight on numerous occasions after being warned about it. He's a great talent with no discipline and a shit attitude about it all. I mean, he was overweight as a WW, then moved up and was even MORE overweight as a MW and then says everyone can suck it cuz they don't know what's up.

Seems fair enough. If they do decide to give him one more shot (Which is entirely possible), I would like to see him go up against Mayhem.

My guess is he will dominant the small leagues while figuring out his weight, find his way back to the ufc as a replacent and earn a few more wins. I'll bet if he can figure out his weight and a earn a few dominant wins tons of fans will jump on his bandwagon again.

He needs time to mature as a person, let alone as a fighter.

you have to make weight, sorry to hear that but its a lot of money for him not to cut right

All bashing aside, I laughed my ass off when someone called him Crumble. Yes, this guy is a physical specimen who needs to figure some things out, but that's hilarious.

I think he goes there or Dana makes him fight 205...I would give him that option...

I would start with a camp that prolly has some more discipline...he needs a real mentor..

Well if he won I dont know how he gets cut...I bet the UFC in the future takes a different approach...like fines and suspensions within the organization...

Dudes exciting as hell and nowadays with the majority wrestling dominated sport where people rather play it safe then give the fans their moneys worth, it always sucks too see one let go. I was hoping for a suspension if anything.

Hell be back tho I gurantee it I just wonder which weight class. It seems to me it was just a big miscalculation on him and his camps part. Probably thought "I can cut this much at this point to make 170 so I can hold back alil more."

Not to mention people act like he woke up at 197, he was only a pound and a half off of 186 according to Dana til the doctors told him he needed to rehydrate.

I picture him at that cut prolly bout to pass out and his body doing things that would of caused damage..obvious..if they didnt demand him to rehydrate I bet he wouldnt of lasted 1 minute based on him gassing..

I picked Belfort based on his speed and AJ does big looping shots...but I had av bet with emfleek and wanted out becasue I thoguht Johnsons weight was a clear advantage...thats kinda big...but then right before I thoguht if he cut once to get to that..How does he cut again without being dead tired...However it was close...

they really should start sending guys to strikeforce before they cut them. its not like the guy cant fight and they need talent over there anyway

Marquardt vs Rumble is now a possibility

would make a good Main Event somewhere, Dream or ProElite would be insane to not sign these guys and make this happen
