Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski is slated to make his One FC debut at the promotion’s “Pride of a Nation” event on Aug. 31 in the Philippines.

It will come against a different opponent than originally expected, however. Arlovski was expected to square off with Sao Palelei at One FC 5, but a recent shifting of gears now has him facing fellow former UFC champion Tim Sylvia, according to MMAWeekly.com sources.

Arlovski (17-9) has had a rough go of it since exiting the UFC in 2008. He started off by winning back-to-back bouts, but then embarked on a four-fight skid that left him searching. He has since rebounded with two recent victories before signing with One FC.

Arlovski was originally set to face Palelei, but the Australian tweeted that he would no longer be facing Arlovski because One FC wanted him to sign a five-fight contract and he refused.

In enters Tim Sylvia...

If im able ill watch.

regardless of their losses the fact that their facing each other is what would get me to watch.

if they weren't facing each other I could care less about watching

A couple of years ago I wouldn't have been interested in this fight at all, but I'm kind of interested to see where they both are at right now. Plus there's bad blood there since Tim is a pee pee pee taster.

That was such a great quote from AA.
I'm pretty excited for this actually.

Don't like it, don't watch. I'm strangely interested how many times do you get to see two guys fight four times?

Because the 3rd fight was so awesome they needed to match them up again...

I get why they're making the match but I don't see it working out well in any way.

Arlovski was awesome, I hope he can make it back to UFC. I'd much rather see him than an overweight freak like Timmy.

I wonder what up with ONEFC trying Soa on a 5 fight contract. They know he's UFC material so they want him longer maybe?

I want to see what type of shape Tim comes in, the fight is over seas so he could load up on roids and get in real shape if he chooses too.

This. I'm actually confused about how interested I am in this fight, haha. I have no idea why, but I am really looking forward to this.

Why is this a sad topic? I've been wanting this 4th fight forever. They get a chance to make up for the bullshit 3rd fight and it's the fight of their careers right now and at this point of their careers it's a pickers choice who would win I might even say Arlovski could knock him out at this point. A win for Arlovski probably gets him another big fight or so and if he starts to fight smarter like he has been he probably gets a UFC contract again. Here's hoping it's exciting at least.

Move your fucking chin or cover it up Andrei......Arlovski needs to retire if he can't beat Timmy......we need an Arlovski/Rizzo match-up even more

I'm surprised that people are interested in this.

I can't envision any scenario in which this fight would be entertaining.

No interest in either guy at this point in their careers really. All though AA was one of my favorites back in the day.

He made HW for his past two fights...

I feel this one is Timmay's fight to lose, Since AA had the 4 fight losing streak and his two wins following he has lacked the killer instinct, he hardly pushes the pace and is hesitant to push the pace.
