Alessio Sakara (15-10 MMA, 6-7 UFC) and Patrick Cote (18-8 MMA, 5-8 UFC) will have to wait a bit longer to settle their business; a recently announced rematch at UFC 158 between the two middleweights has been scratched.

Sakara recently announced that kidney issues will keep him out of action into early 2013.

A UFC official told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) a replacement will be named shortly.

He knew he wouldn't be able to make it past Cote a 2nd time.

I know that Cote was having succes early but didn't Sakara land a legal elbow that hurt Cote pretty good and then the illegal stuff happened?

Gotta be a record of quickiest Ufc official announced fight to scratch fight

Don't blame sakara. Getting booed in Montreal was enough but gotta go back to Montreal again for a fight

Must be some pretty bad kidney injury if he pulls out a whole 4 months before.. how much time do you need to prepare for an opponent you have already fully prepared for and fought.

Nope. He rocked Cote clean and then was throwing shots fast to finish the fight that were hitting Cote in the back of the head.

Great thought. We need a master statistician to verify if this is true.

Anybody ?

Must have been more Canadian mischief interfering with his training this time.
