800 k for Sylvia, and only 300 k for Fedor? And no win bonus for Fedor?
Lindland 300/75k win bonusk?
Arlovski 750k?

There is no way they can continue to pay these fighters on every card, and expect to continue running their promotion. It's good to see fighters making some good money, but it's hard to believe they can do this 3 times a year.

Sylvia made $22,222.20 a second for his fight.lol.

Why the hell would they pay Tim "36 second" Sylvia almost 3 times more Fedor. Now I know most of America doesn't know him but I guess Affliction never heard of him

Arlovski picked up a cool million for beating the crap out of Rothwell!
How the hell did Fedor only pick up $300,000 when Tim was getting $800,000?!?
Still he can't complain thats like $100,000 for every ten seconds he was fighting.

Even if Affliction only makes a couple more shows, they've made a big stir in MMA. You might start seeing some very disgruntled UFC fighters. Maybe we'll see some fighters start to jump ship. Maybe they were over paying but you have to wonder what a guy like Anderson Silva thinks when he sees a guy like Ben Rothwell making 50k more than him.

Aside from that, why would they pay Matt Lindland 300k, that's just outrageous for a guy who isn't going to be that big a draw.

thats absolutely ridiculous that Sylvia got almost triple the amount of money that Fedor did. Fedor should really go to the UFC. They'd probably pay him $450,000 a fight and all of the other big names would follow him. Every top heavyweight wants to be where Fedor is.

See that Dana....$300K could have gotten you the greatest HW in history, kept your legendary Randy Couture, and had the most anticipated match in history had you just been willing to negotiate a little!!!

That is just ridiculous $800 and he got his ass handed to him in 36 sec. That does not make sense.Fedor must have got more money for something else if he only got $300 and no bonus.

AA & tim were the most know to the USA n casual mma fan so cant really complain on that sense but no win bonus for fedor, but im sure they got other bonuses that we dont know bout. smart move by AA

I don't think the money was the issue. The UFC offered Fedor the most money out of all other promotions. The UFC does not and will not sign guys, unless it is exclusive to the UFC, and Fedor didn't want that. He still wanted to compete in combat Sambo in Russia, and Dana did not want that to happen.

The MMA Craze is reporting that Affliction's gate was only $2 million. Better hope they got some good PPV buys.

I don't know of anyone in the UFC making 800K per fight right now. Affliction may have done that as advertisting, hoping some of the big names of the ufc will come over and they can make some money in the long run.

If Affliction only has a couple of more shows than all it will show the fighters is that the time has not come for some of the crazy paydays some of them got. I like AA and all, but $750,000 for him and $800,000 for Tim is just stupid.

um yeah if the UFC want to keep fighters they can and will I do see that Affliction paid a lot for 2 former UFC champs because they were being paid like top fighters before this is obvious why they left but I can see them coming back to the UFC they all just want their shot at Fedor Sylvia has said he plans on going back he got his chance and well good luck everyone else

Can you say over payed.

Fedor made more than they are reporting. I would say he at least made 1mil with these pay role numbers.

Tim made 800k for 36sec ass whooping. Give me break that's just way to much money. I can see 200k as fair or even 300k but 800k is just way to much.

Andre Arlovski made 1mil - How does a guy make more than the guy that has beat him not once but twice.

Ben Rothwell - Made 250k, He hasn't ever fought a top 10 other than Tim years ago and he lost. Hell Mike Whitehead beat him but yet Mike got payed 50k. Rothwell has never beat a top 10 but yet he is payed 250k. I could see that if he was a big draw but he is not as we see from a dead IFL.

Josh Barnett 300k to fight a washed up Rizzo. I will give Josh his dues he isn't really over paid as 300k is fair for a top 10 HW. But he was still fighting a washed up fighter that hasn't been a force at HW in years.

Matt Lindland 375k someone needs to tell them Lindland isn't a big draw and barely even a top ten these days. Not to add he is a boring fighter and I like the ground game.

Vitor Belfort 210k for knocking out glass jawed Terry Martin. Vitor is one of those fighters you never know who is going to show up and hasn't been a force at LHW in years.

[Rant on]$3,321,000 in REPORTED payouts for a bunch of lopsided fights. I agree fighters pay needs to start going up but not this much this fast. This really hurts other start ups. Most new company's cant or wont pay this kind of money. Yes MMA is taking off and growing but people have to remember that just a few years ago top guys were lucky if they made 5k for a fight. When you start paying this much fighters will keep demanding more and more till it gets out of hand. I like fighters that fight because they love to fight not because they love money. Boxing is a good example you have guys like Floyd Mayweather making over 20 mil a fight and getting a % of the PPV on top of that. When the under card fighters are lucky to make 20k combined. This is one of the things that has run boxing in to the ground. Its already started to happen in MMA, you have guys like Randy saying the UFC doesn't respect him when really he just wanted more money. But MONEY doesn't = respect it = greed. What happened to the Randy that loved to fight just to fight. I bet you when he started fighting he was lucky to make 500 dollars a fight more less 1mil. But now he thinks because Floyd Mayweather makes over 20mil a fight he should to and Randy tires to say I'm just doing this for the other fighters. Yeah Randy because we know boxing pay has worked out so good for the lower tier boxers.[/Rant off]

I think they got some of the stats wrong. No way Arlovski got $1 Million, when his highest payed fight to date Including Bonus was $250 000.

as for Tim and 800 000

imagine getting payed 300 000 to get hit by a combo from Fedor
another 300 000 for getting subbed.
and another 200 000 for making it look good.

Fedor is defiantely getting paid more than stated.

He's probably picking up a % of gate receipts/PPV buys. He ain't stupid.....

Hah thats the first thing I thought, what a kick in the balls for Dana. His own doing though.

If Affliction can keeping drawing the numbers they did they shouldn't have a payrole problem. Though that was an unusually stacked card with nearly all top ten heavyweights.

I wonder if Fedor got a huge cut off the ppv buys or something. It seems like Fedor (world renowned) would be a much bigger ppv draw then Tim (North America renowned). Wish I got $800k to get my ass kicked, I pay to get hit in the face.

Yeah I think Fedor got paid by both affliction, and then M-1, so he will be getting alot more then 300, it'd be closer to the 2 million stated before.

If M-1 pays Fedor back in Russia, it keeps Uncle Sam out of his pockets. 30% of the top for nonUS fighters. Not unheard of. There was tons of noise about K-1 doing the same thing for the US shows with the foreign fighters. They report enough not to raise to many eyebrows and they get the rest back home.

And it all started with affliction. There next card will be headlined by AA and the rest of the fighters on the card will make squat.

I dont think the 300K for fedor is the right figure there is no way he made less than Sylvia in that fight.....Affliction probably doesnt want to anounce what they really paid him....

They have to by law. But that's what they paid him in the US

But remember that it was in association with M-1, and M-1 probably paid him more back in Russi
