I think or at least hope 4.

Lidell
Silva
Rampage again
and then Machida

i dont see it changing untill next year. if rashad beats lidell no way hell get a shot if he does it wont be for a while wandy needs at least one more win b4 he gets a shot. i think forrest will take machida to a SD.

Who is the No. 1 contender anyway? I find it hard to believe it's either chuck or rashad. But that leaves me with wandy or jardine? I am thinking give it to Machida first. He is on the hottest win streak and makes the best stylistic matchup.

I think Machida will take it from Griffin an then Liddell will be the first man to beat him plus he'll get his title back

I say Chuck beats Rashad and gets the title shot. Chuck beats Forrest 3rd round KO. Lyoto Machida beats Thiago Silva. Lyota Machida fights the new champ Chuck. Lyoto wins a unanimous decision. In the meantime Wandy gets a W against Thiago Silva or Brandon Vera and gets the title shot against new champ Machida. Wandy wins and is the new 205 champ. Also, if Rampage has a few wins during this time we could get Wandy vs. Rampage 3 for the title. Sick.

Y'all crazy. whatever happens I love the line up of fights for this division.

Evans will beat Chuck. UD 3 rounds to none - Evans. And we will see Chuck taken down a number of times. I know it is not a good match up for Evans, but he has come too far to let it go. It's gonna be will over skill in this one, and Chucky babe just does not have the will.

Evans will move on to a much easier fight against Griffin. Where Evans would kill him. I have even money on a Wandy vs. forrest fight. either way Evans takes the match.

That is 1-2 changes.

THEN just before the end of the year Machida takes the title and holds it until Anderson is forced to fight him by Dana late in 2021.

In summation. I see AT LEAST 2 LHW changes in the rest of 2008 - 2009.

WAR Evans and WAR MACHIDA.

I will guess twice. i think Wandy will def. Forrest and then defend against Shogun. Then Machida takes the belt in late 09, and retains for a long time

I seem to remember rogan saying that the winner of the liddell fight will get the shot. Chuck Forrest is a fight I want to see at some point too....UFC is definitely stacked in LHW.......My true hope would be a rematch because I think the call was so close that A .rampage should have held the belt and B. there should be a rematch.....As far as changing hands I don't know....This time I'm going with Forrest. I have picked against him in every fight he has won.

even if chuck wins. .and gets a title shot i dont see him having it again this year or next.. with the talent i n the lhw div. i can see him never holding it again, hope he does just dont think he will. forrest and machita would be a good fight cuz i dont think that forest will let him elude him too much. forrest and chuck?? well i always like forrest as they under dogg (SUPER FOREST) . think it would go griffin bye tap out. and we porb will not see rampage for at least a year. either way , way excited to watch each fight

not this year forrest is better than most think and he is gonna prove some people wrong he isn't the same dude who lost to Jardine and isn't the same brawler he has become a smart fighter I am on this bandwagon of he is better than most people think

Unless Wanderlei claims it, I don't see it being defended.

Hey! Some reason in this thread. I've always thought the same thing. Evans beats anybody in the LHW except Machida. I don't see a Machida loss in sight.

I think you guys are severely overestimating rashad evans. I think he's a small step below most of the top contenders and I have a hard time seeing him beat most of the top 5 or 6 guys in the division.

I see the belt changing hands several times. It really depends on how many title fights the UFC puts on. Right now there are cards scheduled until like october and the only title fight is gsp/fitch so who knows.

The whole division is like a big game of rock paper scissors and if the right matchups are made the belt could easily change hands on every defense. Most likely I think they give chuck the shot if he beats rashad and I think that Forrest could beat chuck if he executes the same gameplan as Jardine did and work a lot of leg kicks and defense.
