UFC 2009 (Game) Announcement?

The UFC said they would have a special announcement regarding their upcoming video game 'UFC 2009' at UFC 84, however, i watched the event live online and didn't see any announcement, does anyone know what happened?

I wonder if Machida will come with a grease option when u play as his character. Not sure about many details of the game though

i figured they were gonna make the announcement until they said it would be 2009 for it to come out. im sure the announcement was delayed to a later date(just like the game)

well 2009 doesnt mean much
Madden 2009 is coming out in less than 2 months. MLB 2009 is already out.
they usually have it setup for 2008-2009 season, so they call it 2009.
my guess is it still comes out in the fall or maybe winter.

yea machidas elusiveness will be high... and he will be able to back up fast in the game thats what i heard.... in the game ,just like in real life, if u back up to avoid getting hit while your opponet preasures u win the match by unanimous decision

Well if it's being delayed that can only mean good things,because they are working to make it better.With that being said though,every UFC game after the original Dreamcast version has been very lackluster,and they continued to make more.With MMA's popularity bigger than ever,the game could be terrible and it will sale more than all previous UFC games combined.
I'm hoping they are taking this game seriously.Gamers are in desperate need of a "new" and good MMA game.

i was waiting as well, i saw a ninja gaiden one, but once again the ufc lies about something, if they say they will show the game they need to stick to their word

Machida is a mix of Cung Le, and Kalib Starnes. with a bit of pretty boy that doesn't like to be hit.
don't get me wrong, its genius, it works, and its definitely a good strategy. its just Boring, and IMO its not a real fight. its more like playing "Tag with Contact"
I cant wait till he fights some1 like Wandy and Rampage who are amazing at closing the distance.
BTW, IMO, i think Machida would run right through A Silva with this fighting style.

I agree that Machida needs to engage his opponents more but Tito didn't do a damn thing in that fight. He was complaining about Machida running but he barely through a punch.

machida did have two good moments in the fight as shown in the video clips above. and tito had one but machida must have been studying films of starnes because he didn't take one step forward the whole fight. however he did land some good kicks and i can see how he won the decision.

you should really check out the PRIDE FC game. was best one IMO
