Does Rousey know she has a weigh in dressed like that? Stop with the spray on jeans, dumb fucking boots and get your clothes off in a quick fashion.

My thoughts exactly. He actually might have the better gas tank, as he didn't cut as much. Seems like he was pretty heavy when he took the fight, and may not have pushed himself too hard to cut weight.

Yeah, but Villefort had the same amount of time and he made weight.

I'm more of this mindset. At least he isn't pulling out with 'flu like symptoms ( common results of excessive weight cutting)'. I give these guys leeway for saving the show,

Regardless of the time restrains or different bodies, you agree to take a fight at a specific weight. Therefore you should TRY to lose the extra weight until till you've exhausted every possible opportunity to do so. Especially when your opponent made weight on the same time restrains as you had. If you can't make weight within the time restrains, then don't take the fight PERIOD!

Burrell not only didn't even try to lose the extra weight, but during the weigh-in video, he seem not to give a shit about losing the extra weight and just gave a little of bit of his fight money to Yuri at the first chance.

That to me is being disrespectful toward your opponent.

This. 6 pounds is a hell of a lot to be over, and to not even try to knock of a few more after he weighed in seems like Burrell was trying to take the easy way out.

They called him on short notice, its his debut for the UFC on a weeks notice. You have seen and heard countless times fighters turning down fights and Dana and the brass getting pissed because they didnt step up. Samething happened with Damarques Johnson in his last fight. You also have zero idea what went on in the fighters training camp, if he is battling injury or sickness for the extra weight.

As for the weigh in, they knew before hand that he wasnt going to make the weight. It was already known and relayed.

Cutting weight in a short amount of time like that is really hard and difficult for people who haven't cut weight to fathom. I had to cut 17 lbs in one week and wrestled like shit because of it, I really think that it'll be more competive with Burell not having to dehydrate himself to cut the rest of the water weight he has. Your legs are and forearms are litterally like jelly when you cut that much weight and are in a match. I couldn't imagine having to fight against a top prospect like Yuri like that.

I thought that if you were over by more than like 5 pounds, they don't even let you try to lose the weight, because it's dangerous and the only way to do it is eat laxatives and shit yourself inside out. Maybe that's just high school wrestling I'm remembering.
