Twelve fights into his UFC career, Brazilian lightweight Thiago Tavares is tired of flying under the radar.

He's lost just once since 2009, and three of his four career octagon defeats came along with a "Fight of the Night" bonus.

As he prepares to face longtime veteran Dennis Hallman at August's UFC 150 event, Tavares is ready to make a little noise. Once he puts "Superman" away, Tavares is calling out Nate Diaz and Gray Maynard.

"I will beat Dennis Hallman," Tavares told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com). "After that, I want Nate Diaz or Gray Maynard. I really want to prove myself.

"I think Nate Diaz and I would be a crazy, exciting fight. I always try to submit people, and he likes to knock everybody out. Gray Maynard just beat Clay Guida, but I would give him a real fight. I just want to fight against the best names and move up in the division."

I just can't see Hallman losing this fight,

Also, Tavares is crazy if he thinks he's near a fight with Diaz or Maynard. It'll definitely raise his stock but he's still middle of the pack imo.

Hallman will win this...how the heck did Ebersole pull off that come from behind victory over Hallman anyhow...actually how did John Howard manage to KO Hallman with 5 seconds left in the match after obviosuly losing all three rounds...come to think of it Tavares might win lol

Hallman's always shown flashes of brilliance. I see him finishing Tavares and quickly. He could make a run at lightweight

I could see him getting Maynard. Although either is a tough match, Gray strong and Diaz striking and on the ground.

Diaz is stuck in limbo with the title and not fighting Edgar situation.

A lot of it might depend on if Thiago wins and how he wins. If he finishes Hallman, he might take a decent step forward.

It looks like Thiago might be taking the next step forward.

After his back to back losses to Wiman and Pellegrino, he is 4-1-1, winning two straight.

I'm just interested to see if Hallman can make the weight cut. I may be mistaken, but I thought he was big at WW and he couldn't make it on his first attempt. Add to that, he's getting up there in age. I imagine the older you get, the harder it is to cut weight.

As for Thiago, I think he's just hitting his stride. I will not be picking him in this fight, but if he can prove me wrong, i'll have much more faith in him going forward.

I jus hope Hallman doesn't dhow up in a speedo again. If he does, I'm cheering against him, if not, I'm all for him. On the other side, Tavares would get worked overly by either Gray or Naye. Too be honest, I have a feeling who ever faces Gray next is in for a long night.

Tavares has looked great when fighting in Brazil his past two fights, let's see if that's because he's made improvements, or just the momentum from fighting in his home Country.
