UFC 149 and UFC on FOX 4 have swapped stars after another pair of injuries shook up the summer fight scene today.

British middleweight Michael Bisping has been injured and is out of his UFC 149 bout against rising force Tim Boetsch. Stepping in to meet "The Barbarian" will be Hector Lombard, a former Cuban Olympian who rides a 25-fight unbeaten streak into his Octagon debut.

Lombard had been slated to fight Brian Stann in the main event of UFC on FOX 4 in August, but was left opponentless earlier today after Stann was forced to withdraw due to injury.

I would like to see Boetsch pull off another huge upset. That would really throw a fair sized monkey wrench into Lombard's new UFC career. This is a good test for both fighters really but poses credibility problems for both fighters no matter who wins.If Lombard wins he is going to get a little bit of credibility but we really still won't know what he is made of or how good he really is and the same can be said for Boetsch if he wins. I don't think we know just how good either of these guys is or isn't and unfortunately I still don't think we will after they fight.

Would have rather seen Lombard/Bisping.. but you can't blame the UFC for wanting to keep Lombard relevant.

God another Boetch upset would be amazing.

This has to be the worst year for UFC injuries, I'm saying it. Even after 2011.

I like this match, but putting it on a PPV? I don't think Lombard is worthy of PPV status yet. In my book, it goes MTV2<FX<PPV. He can skip Facebook and Fuel.

Boetsch's beast wrestling and strikes, and Lombard's Judo will make this a sick bout

I like it, power guys and we still get to see a fight. Slavaged something pretty decent/good.

Would like to see the winner face stann and bisping somebody as he is coming off a loss.

I think being a former champ, 25 fight win streak is enough to get on ppv.

I mean Vera just got in a main event fight and when was the last time he won a fight? Oh, I guess he beat Elliot Marshall in his last fight, I probably didn't even watch that fight.

More cards = more fights = more injuries.

That's all it is guys.

That's what I was thinking. Both have done pretty well recently except for losses to Sonnen, so lets see who is the better of the two and therefore higher up the title shot ladder. It would be a great fight too

omg I really hope this means Bisping/Belcher when they both get healthy.

I'm calling it now. Bisping V Stann will fight in the main event in Nottingham, England. Winner gets a title shot.

Lombard will make quick work on Boetsch in my opinion I may be a little biased as Hector is one of my favs to watch fight but I just feel like Lombard is a bad match up for Boetsch.

A lot of injuries. Seem just superstars only too

I like the match. Ufc still needs to add a main card event to Calgary. Siyar vs Chris makes me cringe

Wouldn't be surprised to see Bisping and Stann coach the next season of The Ultimate Fighter.

Some neat possibilities with that matchup.
