He was pretty impressive against petruzelli, and kingsbury has never been very impressive IMO. Still, I guess picking the wrestler against the submission artist is pretty much always the safe pick.

That's my opinion too. The days of wrestlers with zero sub defense are mostly gone, and too many jiu-jitsu guys can't get a wrestler to the ground without blackmailing him first.

Gareth Davies call this card "the Fight of the Century in Brazil." I'm not Brazilian, but I believe it.

441-day layoff for Forrest Griffin. No easy fights in the UFC, I guess.

I might believe it when it comes from the TATAME. And something from the upcoming UFC Brazil will almost certainly top it.

Some pretty sweet finishes already. Hope they make the broadcast.

ah, I picked this one with my heart. Oh well, Johnson is ridiculously fast, pretty impressive.

This only seems to further confirm one thought I have: For whatever reason, no disprespect intended, Japanese fighters just can't seem to be successful fighting the "American" style of MMA. Whether it's UFC, Strikeforce or elsewhere, they just can't win in the US.
