Not sure if I agree with Shields for GSP. I think that would be an easy one for GSP. I don't think Shields has anything to beat GSP and would just get demolished.

Yeah, I agree with Brock and Cain/Carwin winner. Not that I think either of them have earned a shot, but who else is there inside the UFC.

I am leaning more towards Mir vs. Kongo, though I think it might be a dangerous fight for Mir.

Bisping vs. Wanderlei is spot on IMO.

Akiyama vs. Maia would be an interesting match, more interesting that Marquardt vs. Akiyama. And yes, I am suggesting that Maia will be the loser of his fight with Marquardt.

Belcher vs. CB? No whay. I think Belcher is a step up from CB. CB has not impressed me at all and should be fighting newcomers until he gets let go or strings together a few wins.

Fitch vs. Davis - I have zero interest in this fight. I think it will be just another UD for Fitch.

Paulo Thiago vs. Karo - This to me has the potential to be the most boring fight of the year. I see this one going the distance with not much happening.

My friend and I were talking yesterday about Wand and Bisping, I think that would be a very interesting fight. However it would be sometime before that fight could come to fruition. Fitch on the other hand is kind of screwed. I'd assume Fitch could pretty much beat everyone at 170 except St.Pierre. He's beaten Alves and with his wrestling background pretty much could do the GSP approach with other inferior wrestlers. Next few months of fight announcements should be pretty interesting.

I feel the same way about Alves as you do of Fitch. Really I think its the only fight that makes sense for Alves right now. I don't think there is another other person that poses a threat to Alves other than Fitch (unless Spencer Fisher moves up, lol ) at WW. In fact I would be happier if Alves moved up to MW and I think that he would do better.

There is no way I think Fitch deserves another title shot right now. For one, he doesn't look like he is that different of a fighter (to me) than he was just prior to his title shot. Second, I don't think he has fought enough top 10 fighters in the division.

thats not happening, Dana has already said winner of Carwin/Cain get the title shot, (even if Fedor comes in and gets the title shot, the winner of that would fight Carwin/cain as soon as they are healthy.)
