This is from the bottom of the fight camp directory page:
Please note: Member count and overall ranking are updated on a per-event basis.
Ranks are determined by a combination of a camp's overall current season win%, average fantasy bankroll, and average point score rank.
All the camps are ranked 1 through [# of camps in division] in 3 different categories at the time of completion of each main league MMA event
. You may have added the top 20 wager earners on the site to your fight camp the day after UFC 74 and now have a massive average bankroll, but it won't help your rankings until the camp ranking stats are run at the next event.
These three categories are (as stated above) season win %, average bankroll, and average point score rank. A "win" is when you correctly predict the winner of a fight. A "loss" is when you incorrectly pick a fight's winner. Win percentage is, well, I assume you can figure that one out along with "average member bankroll". Average point score rank refers to the average sitewide rank of all fight camp members in our points game
. "Cherry picker" fight camps who only pick on easy fights may have a good win percentage, but they won't do as well in the average point score rank from not getting as many points as possible.
These 3 rankings are then averaged to see who has the overall best ranking.
The heavyweight division currently has 33 fight camps in it right now.
If we were to run the camp rank statistics as of the moment that this reply is being posted, the members of American Top Team are in 2nd place with win-loss percentage, 2nd place in average player points rank, and 4th place in average bankroll. Their average stat rank is 2.667, pretty impressive really.
Fight camp "heart" is number 1 in both average bankroll and win-loss percentage, but they are ranked 9th in average player points rank. Thus, their average rank is 3.667, placing them in 2nd place.
FSC Fight Club is in 33rd place in both average player points rank and win-loss percentage, and in 24th place in average earnings, giving them an average rank of 30, which puts them in last place.
Granted, "heart" is displayed at first place on the fight camp directory at the moment of this writing, and this is because at the time the stats were run (at the end of UFC 74) the scores of the members who make up "heart" were better than those of American Top Team. Since then there's been fight camp member changes which won't be calculated out until our next event.
Hope this sheds some light on things...
