- HUERTA TO FIGHT FLORIAN AT UFC 87

Sources from both fighters’ camps have confirmed that Kenny Florian will face Roger Huerta at UFC 87 on Aug. 9 in Minneapolis, Minn. Both fighters have received and are expected to sign their bout agreements.

I think Florian is in big trouble in this fight.

I see Florian taking this one. His skills are improving by leaps and bounds in every fight and i am not at all sold on Huerta being a top 10 lightweight. Kenny tko Rd 1

I had Huerta himself somewhat confirm at 83 that he was fighting KenFlo. Huerta is a good guy and fighter, but i also see KenFlo winning this 1.

If Huerta gives up his back like he has in the past, this fight will end before the judges get a crack at it.

Good point about Huerta giving up his back. He has done that in the past and was able to get out every time. Don't think the same would happen with Kenflo though. If Roger can keep it standing I see him winning hands down. Imo he has better standup then Kenny. If he gets taken down I see Roger getting cut or sub by rear naked choke. My pick Huerta tko 3rd round

good co main event, wish i had one for ufc86
anyways it will be a hard fight, i think maybe decision, right now i am leaning toward kenflo but who knows right now

I'm in the same boat right now. Except I'm leaning towards Kenflo.

I really, really want Kenflo to win. Huerta is tough, though... no doubt. I think Kenflo will probably be able to scare Huerta pretty good, though. My guess at this point is Kenflo by wearing into Huerta and slipping in a submission late 2nd or early 3rd.

Kenflo has never been KO'd before, and outside of a KO on the feet I think the only chance Huerta has is to score a decision win. Kenflo on the other hand could end it on the feet, by GnP, by submission, or by decision. So that's why I'm leaning toward Kenflo.

I think that Kenflo has better stand-up and submissions than Huerta but his wrestling is bad. Huerta may want to take this fight to the ground and GnP to decision, who knows.

Lets remember- Guida OWNED Huerta- YES OWNED him and though Huerta impressed me with his ability to stay in the fight- I dont see how he can beat Florian- PS i thought Huerta was taking a year off-

Even before his last fight I had not been impressed by Huertas last 2 or 3 victories that I had seen. He at times in those fights was almost exposed and was lucky to get out of some bad situations. Kenflo is gonna spank him.
