Hermen, you do not know Kempo-Goju! Grappling ("ground game") is very much a part of Kempo-Goju! You'll be hard pressed to find a tougher karate! We are not "tournament" or "point" style of fighting. We are a true self defense club. Suit up and come on it, we'll see how you really feel after a couple of our black belts are done with you! RLS

Kempo-goju is a point sparring/ continoussparring style of karate, that consists of a resonable striking game that uses a few sweeps and trips, with no ground game.
While the stand up is o.k., one would be better served with Muay Thai, and the lack of a solid ground game is a serious flaw.
They have been focusing alot on kata and jo staff lately, if you are looking for Hardcore MMA training, youll need to look elsewhere.
If your looking for a traditional approach, with all the ritual, and low to mid impact workout, than check them out.
