Marvin Eastman - The Beastman
With a strong background in collegiate wrestling and Muay Thai, Marvin Lee Eastman was well-prepared for a professional mixed martial arts career. Born on June 8th, 1971 in Merced, California, “The Beastman” trained while working full time as a corrections officer in his home state of California.
Eastman made his professional fighting debut with the King of the Cage promotion, winning his opener with an impressive decision over veteran Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. After winning his next two bouts, “The Beast Lost” two straight matches to Vernon White and UFC fighter Rich Franklin, ending his time with the KOTC. Eastman made his Ultimate Fighting Championship debut on June 6th, 2003 at UFC 43: Meltdown, losing the match against Vitor Belfort with a technical knockout due to strikes. UFC management decided to give “The Beastman” a second chance at UFC 50: The War of ’04, but Eastman lost that match with Travis Lutter knocking him out at 43 seconds into the very first round.
A fresh appearance with the King of the Cage shortly after saw Eastman lose yet again, this time to Jason Lambert. He continued fighting in smaller promotions until he was given a rematch against Quinton Jackson. Eastman lost that fight by TKO in the second round, potentially ruining his chances at a successful career in the UFC.
