An addiction to adrenaline can be dangerous, but for thrill-seekers like Brad “Bad” Blackburn adrenaline pays the bills. Born on May 25th, 1977 in Los Angeles California, Brad spent his early years involved in sports of all kinds and filling his spare time with activities like driving Quads. His love for all things extreme lead him to begin training as a boxer when he turned 22 and as a mixed martial artist shortly after. Blackburn has said that he owes his strict training regiment to his cousins after they acted as unofficial trainers for over two years.
After training independently with friends and family members, Blackburn decided to bring his skills to the professional scene. He began his career with various upstart promotions such as the PPKA and RITR, winning his first four matches. After winning his bout at the IFL Legends Championships 2006 event, he became a regular fighter with that league, winning two bouts and losing another pair in his first four matches. Despite the losses, the management of the Seattle Tiger Sharks signed a new five fight contract with Blackburn in 2007. Team coaches said that they had faith that Blackburn could help lead them to a league title.
